Aris Prepoudis, CEO
Aris Prepoudis is the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Executive Committee at RobecoSAM since 2017. Prepoudis served until 2016 as CEO of Vescore (formerly Notenstein Asset Management), an asset manager specializing in sustainable and quantitative investments. Previously, he was Head of the Institutional Client Business Unit at Notenstein Privatbank, where he led the consolidation of all the asset management activities of Raiffeisen Switzerland into Notenstein Asset Management. From 2000 to 2013, Prepoudis worked at Bank Sarasin & Cie AG in various senior positions, culminating in the role of Global Head of Institutional Clients. He began his career at STG Cooper & Lybrand (now PwC) and subsequently worked at ATAG Ernst & Young as an audit manager for Swiss Mutual Funds and Banks. Prepoudis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Basel.
Rainer Baumann, CFA, Head of Public Equity
Rainer Baumann is Head of Public Equity and Member of the Executive Committee. In his position he is responsible for overseeing the investment processes for RobecoSAM’s actively managed investment strategies as well as the indices business. He coordinates and manages a team of investment professionals consisting of Portfolio Managers, Equity Analysts, Client Portfolio Manager and Indices Relationship Mangers. Rainer Baumann used to be a Portfolio Manager being in charge for mutual funds and institutional accounts. Prior to joining RobecoSAM in 2002, he spent three years with UBS Wealth Management as a Portfolio Manager responsible for large private asset management mandates and as a member of the local investment committee. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Rainer Baumann holds a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Zurich and is a CFA charterholder.
Marius Dorfmeister, Global Head of Clients
Marius Dorfmeister is an Austrian citizen, who was until recently Global Head of Clients and Member of the Executive Committee at Vescore. Before that, he was the Head of Institutional Clients International at Notenstein Private Bank. At Bank Sarasin & Cie AG (now Bank J. Safra Sarasin), he served as Head of Institutional & Wholesale Clients International. Earlier in his professional life, Marius Dorfmeister was CEO of Falcon Europe AG and Head of Institutional Clients at Falcon Private Bank Ltd. Other positions included CEO of AIG Financial Services in Vienna (the European passporting entity for AIG Investments), Director at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, Senior Portfolio Manager at Raiffeisen KAG, and Bank Austria. Marius Dorfmeister holds a Master’s degree from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien).
Reto Schwager, Global Head of Private Equity
Reto Reto Schwager is Global Head of Private Equity, as well as a member of the Executive Committee at RobecoSAM since 2015. Reto Schwager brings more than 20 years’ experience in the financial industry with a major focus on private market investments. His responsibilities are the overall management of the company and the development of the Private Equity business. Reto Schwager served in various positions at Partners Group from 2006 onwards, including Global Head of Distribution and Head of Investment Solutions Asia-Pacific, and then Head of Client Services and member of the Executive Board. Previously, he spent seven years at AIG Group, most recently as Head of European institutional investments. Reto Schwager holds an Executive MBA from the University of Maryland.
Daniel Wild, PhD, Head of Sustainability Investing Research & Development
Daniel Wild is the Head of Sustainability Investing R&D and a Member of the Executive Committee at RobecoSAM. In his role, Daniel oversees the organization, strategy, methodology and investment process of Research and Product Development at RobecoSAM. Furthermore, his management scope includes RobecoSAM’s Sustainability Services team.
Prior to joining RobecoSAM in 2006, Daniel led infrastructure financing programs in Southeastern Europe and Asia for the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (seco). From 1999 to 2004, Daniel headed the Environmental Technology Department at EBP, a Swiss engineering and consulting firm.
Daniel holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering from ETH Zurich and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (EAWAG), followed by postdoctoral research studies at Stanford University.
Daniel is a Board Member of Swiss Sustainable Finance, a member of the GRI Technology Consortium, and formerly a member of the GRI Sector Research Steering Committee and the UNEP FI Workstream Water Advisory Board.
Ruud Wilders, Head of Corporate Services
Ruud Wilders is the Head of Corporate Services and a Member of the Executive Committee at RobecoSAM. He has held various responsibilities in marketing, communication, sales management, business development and corporate strategy. Ruud Wilders joined RobecoSAM from Robeco; where he filled managerial roles in several Robeco units, including sales coordination and product & services. Prior to joining Robeco, Ruud Wilders worked outside the financial sector at various start-ups, with positions in project management, business development and as a member of a management team.
